So, this week we start a series of events around Microsoft's Expression products. In addition to some nice demos and an articulation of our strategy around professional design tools we are also going to be hosting panel discussions in each city. As I mentioned in previous posts we are excited to get some great particpants from each city.
Here's who is going to be on each panel discussion in each city. No promises, but I'm going to try to create podcasts of these sessions that we can post elsewhere.
Our topic is going to start from the following perspective:
Platforms, tools, standards, processes and the ubiquity of connectivity are changing the constraints that designers have typically had to manage in unlocking the value in software, products and services. The palette of options available to designers to prototype and iterate for the standards-based Web, rich Web and rich clients has never been filled with more opportunity. Learn how your design peers are taking advantage of these new breakthroughs today in compelling and profitable ways via a panel discussion with some of today’s top design professionals.

I'm also excited about another session we'll be doing at the events called 'Stories from the Design Trenches.'
Glimpse into our journey of designing for over 500 million users such as for Office 2007 and Vista. Hear about the challenges and ultimately the successes the user experience team achieved in driving product innovation and quality, despite working in a largely engineering-driven culture.
There's almost too much good content that's going to come out of this event and we'll be posting video of ALL the content that is presented in San Francisco that you'll be able to view later.
