    Chicago ExpressionSession Recap

Those of you that read my previous post about our San Francisco event realize that I had mixed feelings about the event. Chicago on the other hand was much better. I actually got to do a part of the keynote and since it was my hometown I got to meet a bunch of my old friends and collegues.

We refined our story a bit in Chicago and I think it showed. We were fortunate to get some great feedback from folks in San Francisco that we put to good use.

One of the personal highlights for me was getting to do another wonderful panel discussion with some folks I really admire. In San Francisco we had the privilidge of having Valerie Casey from Frog Design join us. We also had Flash Impressario (and now WPF impressario) Beau Ambur from Metaliq join us as well. In Chicago we had some great folks from Thirteen23 join us. Ryan Dawson and Doug Cook. Check out there site and look at some of the amazing things they are doing with WPF and Web APIs. Thirteen23 is truly showing the power and nuance that can be provided by WPF applications.

Look at some of the amazing applications they created such as Denouce, Nostalgia, CineView and Harmony. This is fantastic stuff.

Update, you can see Valerie for yourself at the Apple Store in San Francisco on March 21st, this is a good talk if you can make it.

I really enjoyed the panel talk too, can you post the video?

We should have panel content up by mid-march. I'm not sure we taped or audio recorded the Chicago one, I'm checking. But we should have video for the San Francisco panel and audio for the New York panel. I'll post an update on the blog when it's up.
