Blogging is already or is rapidly becoming part of the culture of Microsoft. Microsoft is also a company that has folks from around the world that work for that bring a different perspective that some of our fine folks that ensconced in beautiful Redmond. Here are a few of my favorites at the moment.
Scott Barnes, a man that knows the finer points of Microsoft technology as well as any other platform you may happen to dabble in for the creation of Rich Internet or client applications. He's Australian but I still like him.
Tim Heuer, a fellow peer that looks closely at how Microsoft technology can work and play nice outside the confines of the Microsoft stack.
Shane Morris is a fellow UXe that also hails from the land of down under. I love Shane's blogging and expertise because he's out of the glare of the Valley and the US-centric domination of Web 2.0 and design conversations. He's also part of a small group of people that really ESTABLISHED the discipline of User Experience and it's importance in Australia. Want to learn from the master? Shane is teaching a day lone course at CHI this year in San Jose.
Forest Key was one of the first guys that actually walked through the doors at Microsoft and started to establish a connected and cohesive vision around Microsoft's User Experience efforts. This isn't to imply he was the first guy that thought about design or worked on design tools but he was a catalyst. He's also one of the reasons that I had the confidence to come to Microsoft. Do you want to learn how Expression got it's start and what drove our decisions and our choices? Start here.
Being an Australian is like being a gun-slingin texan, only we at times prefer to jump on crocks instead of riding horses shooting our pistols in the air.
Combine that magic with Microsoft and you have yourself .... a crazy guy drunk and representing Microsoft... not sure where I was goin with that point, i kind of blacked out half-way throught he post.
